How it works
From first conversation to a website that works for your business.
You don't need a technical brief or a perfectly formed idea. Tell me about your business, your customers and what you need the website to do. I'll help work out the rest.
The process
Four clear steps from first conversation to launch.
You'll always know where we are, what I'm working on and what happens next.
A straightforward process
You won't be left wondering what's happening.
Good websites start with understanding the business, not choosing a template.
The process is deliberately simple. We work out what needs to happen, agree the right approach and keep things clear as the website takes shape.
Understand
Tell me about your business.
We start with the business, not the website.
Tell me what you do, who your customers are, how people currently find you and what you'd like the website to help with.
You don't need to know the right terminology or arrive with a list of pages. Part of my job is turning what you know about your business into a clear digital brief.
Agree
Decide what we're going to do.
Before anything is built, we'll be clear about the job.
I'll recommend an approach based on what the business actually needs rather than adding features for the sake of it.
We'll agree the scope, the appropriate plan, what I need from you and what happens next. No mysterious process and no surprise reveal at the end.
Design & build
Bring the website together.
Structure, content, design and build are treated as one job.
I'll work through how people should move through the website, what each page needs to communicate and how the experience should work across desktop and mobile.
You'll see the work as it develops, so feedback happens while it is useful rather than after everything has already been decided.
Launch & support
Put it to work.
Launch isn't the point where I disappear.
Once everything is ready, we'll get the website live and make sure the important foundations are in place.
From there I can keep supporting the website as the business changes, whether that's updating content, improving journeys or identifying the next useful thing to tackle.
What I need from you
You know the business. I'll handle the web bit.
I don't expect you to become a designer, developer or digital strategist.
What I do need is your knowledge of the business, your customers and what matters most. I'll ask the questions needed to turn that into something useful.
Ready when you are
Tell me about your business.
You don't need a brief. A few details about what you do, what's not working and what you'd like to improve is enough to start.
